About the Old Redingensians Association

Old boys of Reading School have been holding Annual Dinners since 1768. The first club was formed in 1888, becoming The Old Redingensians' Club in 1921. Today it is a registered charity and involved in a broad range of activities. 




The Club has always catered for its members' sporting activities and owns a sports ground in Sonning. 

Enterprise Awards

Through its Enterprise Awards, it encourages amongst Reading School pupils

           Adventurousness       Citizenship

           Creativity                 Leadership

by providing financial support for community service, expeditions, and improvement in skills and knowledge.

Any member of staff or former pupil may join. There are overseas branches in the USA, Australia and France.  [Membership Benefits]

Old Redingensian

It publishes The Old Redingensian to keep ORs up to date as part of their life-long connection with the school.


It is active in commemorating the achievements of past and present pupils of the School.

School History

The Association is the custodian of an archive of historical material from which an electronic archive of images, records and reference sources is being created. Some archive material is already available on-line and can be accessed via the Alumni Area.
