Welcome back to the Old Redingensians website. This is a temporary page, work is in progress to bring the site up to full specification - but it is good to be back on line, even in this limited way.
We have a couple of interesting events this summer, the highlight of which will be Cricket Week, where on Saturday 4th July the School is planning a Summer Festival with a marquee and bar, tours of the School, art on display, an exhibition of School archives, a bouncy castle and the School jazz band. Oh, and the School vs O.R. cricket match. Don't miss it!
You may be aware that the basic fabric of the School, the Chemistry labs for example, have not been refurbished for about a century...if ever. It doesn't mean there's any more risk of misadventure than there ever was, but can we really be comfortable that while other Schools all around us have a modern Design Technology suite, Reading School, the jewel of Berkshire's government School system, still only has an old blacksmith's forge?!
In order to address infrastructure upgrading needed, the School has set up a development office which has launched the "1125 fund". If you are interested in helping, please do get in touch, details on the School website at www.ReadingSchool.reading.sch.uk

AGM and Annual dinner

Unfortunately, the Army is unable to spare the manpower this year to cater for us in Big School. We are investigating the cost of paying a contractor instead, versus using another location.
